Stab in the dark  

A true event that happened in the past.   

Hearing the circumstance How do we keep imagining the space-time-person of that event from a distance? And then how can that imagination be visualized through more “events or processes”? One manifestation of the experimental expression of that is this video installation titled “stab in the dark”. This work tries to revolve around the fact of one Bengali seeking asylum in the UK. This work involves a process of metaphorically viewing events from different perspectives through various dialogues, performance videos, sounds, and installations.

Working through a not knowing of NFTs and their digital materiality, a 3D scan of a Snickers wrapper becomes an obsession through which to explore value systems, hope and class structures. Through an internal monologue we follow the considerations around making an NFT, revealing a personal conflict between the structures of capitalism, whilst desiring the luxuries of modern life.
