Dr Ashok Jansari

Dr Jansari received his degree in Experimental Psychology from King’s College, Cambridge and his doctorate at the University of Sussex (UK) followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Iowa with Professors Damasio, Tranel and Adolphs. His research explores Accelerated Long-term Forgetting (ALF); variation in face-processing ability from prosopagnosia to super-recognition; and applications of the Jansari assessment of Executive Functions (JEF©), an ecologically-valid clinical instrument, which has been translated into 11 languages reflecting his international collaborations with scientists in 13 countries spanning 5 continents. In 2004, Ashok won the INS’s Cermak Award for Best Research in Memory Disorders.
