Bath! Bath! Bath!
The story is based on my own experience when I was 5 years old. Sometimes children create some dramas and have many funny thoughts when they are free from parents’ control.
Once, I played with my cousin at noon, we poured many products into
a basin full of water such as shampoo, conditioner, face cream in order
to make bubbles. We wasted everything we found in the bathroom.
When my parents found out what we did, they were shocked.
It was really funny.
I want to draw a series of pictures of childrens’ mischievous stories when adults are taking a nap to reflect the childrens’ cuteness. Because I think childrens’ ideas are wild, they often do something unexpected or hilarious
to adults.
These behaviours are almost done by everyone when they were little. I draw them in the form of illustration, hoping to make people feel relatable to their childhood and recall their memories.
One Day
One Day tells the story of a man who was walking on the street being very relaxed, and who came across a friend of his – a lady holding an umbrella. This lady kept complaining to him about how she hated the sun and how hot and burning the sunlight was. Hearing that, the man looked very confident glanced at the sidewalk. He found an empty wine bottle and he threw it towards the sun very hard. On the one hand, he wanted to show off in front of the lady, on the other hand, he was in good mood that day, which resulted in his arrogance. The sun was in good condition, so it was shining and releasing the heat. All of a sudden it was hit by the empty bottle. Feeling very shocked at first and then upset, the sun started crying and could not stop. In the end, the sun got very angry, its tears became rain drops and chased the man. This story was inspired by the desktop in my room. When I was trying to come up with a story, I had nothing in my mind at first. When I was struggling, I noticed that on my desk, there was a doll, a picture of the sun, an empty wine bottle, with the cloudy sky outside the window, which all of a sudden became my inspiration. After I did the first sketch with pen and paper, the story was formed little by little.
