Evaluation of the training package
In this, the final phase of the project, we will be:
- Seeking feedback from our community researchers and other interested parties before the final phase
- Piloting the training package and evaluating it
Autistic people over the age of 50
If you are an autistic person over the age of 50 (with or without a diagnosis) there are two ways you could be involved.
- Survey
- Evaluation of impact of training on social work practice
Survey
You can fill in a survey, which takes about 15 minutes to complete. In this we will show you some of the resources we have been co-producing and ask for your feedback. Once you have completed the study, you will be offered the opportunity to enter a draw for a £100 Amazon voucher to thank you for your participation. There are three vouchers available and names will be selected at random from those who have provided their details.

Evaluation
Our evaluation materials will be developed with our community researchers.
The idea is for social workers and social work trainees to be given vignettes for different situations they may come across in their working life. They will then be asked to respond, before, and after training. You will be asked to provide your feedback on their responses.

NB: if you are an autistic or neurodivergent social worker or social work trainee, you may choose to respond from the point of view of a social worker or an autistic or neurodivergent person.

Questionnaire
For this section, as a social worker or social work trainee you would be given a questionnaire or survey to complete. After taking part in the training, you would be asked about your thoughts on the training regarding its usefulness and the immediate impact it has had on your intention to practise and your confidence.
Testing
For this section, you would be given vignettes for different situations which you may come across in your working life. You would then be asked to respond, before and after training.
You would be invited to reflect on your responses. Furthermore, older autistic people would then be given your responses to evaluate.
