Pastoral Care

If you wish to discuss any of the following, you will need to speak to with a Senior Tutor:

  • Interrupting
  • Withdrawing
  • Extenuating Circumstances

Please fill in this form to contact a Senior Tutor.

Extenuating Circumstances

In order to complete an application for Extenuating Circumstances, you will need to log into your MyGoldsmiths account and follow the steps for completing the application.

We recommend before doing so that if you have any queries about Extenuating Circumstances that you contact design@gold.ac.uk or have a look at the Goldsmiths website.

The college does not require you to provide any formal evidence as we are aware of the delay and difficulty in obtaining official evidence due to Covid-19.

You will just need to provide a written statement outlining how your situation has affected your assessment. This will then be processed by the Senior Tutor for your cohort and a formal outcome will be emailed to you.

Please note that the deadline adjustments given by the Department of Design may differ from the main college. The deadline adjustments offered will vary depending on the individual, but are typically 7 to 14 days. The Senior Tutor will discuss the outcome with you if necessary.

If you hold a RASA you will not automatically be considered for Extenuating Circumstances. You will still need to make an application on MyGoldsmiths and provide a statement, although your RASA will be considered as supporting evidence.

Wellbeing

Even though you may not be on campus, wellbeing support is still available for students. This support can be accessed via email, through the website or on Learn.gold.
