Hello GoldGrad!

Between all of us working here in the Development and Alumni Office, we’ve attended many graduation ceremonies and not all of them at Goldsmiths!

We might be biased, but we like it here at Goldsmiths the best and it is a highlight for all of us to meet our new graduates with their proud families in the marquee afterward. It’s also a great opportunity for us to say congratulations and welcome. And because Graduation is about celebrating, we try to join in!

Since 2013, we’ve run a #goldgrad photo competition, encouraging graduates to post their best photos from the day on social media. You might recognise some of the winning entries below.

If you graduated in February – we want to say welcome to the alumni community. It’s full of talented people like you based all over the world and all at different stages of their careers. If you have a LinkedIn profile, you should join the alumni group – there are more than 4200 fellow alumni you can connect with and pose questions to.

If you are based internationally, see if one of our Alumni Ambassadors are based nearby or think about volunteering yourself and plan meet-ups with fellow Golds near you!

Even if you graduated some time ago, we are always developing new ways to keep in touch with you and help you develop new connections with fellow alumni, such as this new blog which we would love our alumni to contribute to.

If you would like to keep in touch too, don’t forget to like us on Facebook, talk to us on Twitter or email us to let us know what you are working on next.

Lastly, please make sure we have an up-to-date address – this way we can make sure we share relevant news and invitations for where you are based now, and of course, it means you won’t miss out on your copy of Goldlink, the bi-annual alumni magazine!

Keeping with the photography theme, we’ve started to sponsor a photo booth in the marquee. View more photos on our Facebook page.
