Goldsmiths Reunite: Around the World in 7 Days

BoxBeing a single campus has many benefits – it brings staff and students together from all corners of the University and encourages collaboration.

Our small campus community has a global reach, and in many ways that is down to you, our alumni community and the personal connections you have with each other.

We launched Goldsmiths Reunite last year to reconnect with alumni internationally and the events we held in Athens, New York, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Rome have been a launchpad to our brand new Alumni Ambassador Programme.

Dozens of former students have signed up to become Alumni Ambassadors and during one week, commencing 25 May, they will be hosting a series of events to develop local and vibrant networks of Goldsmiths alumni in different locations across the globe.

We are calling this special week: Around the World in 7 Days. From Chicago to Rome to Singapore, the events will showcase the scale of our global community and provide a collective experience for alumni. In the same week, our Warden, Patrick Loughrey, will host Goldsmiths Reunite in Tokyo featuring a talk from Professor Caroline Knowles on the global trail of the flip-flop.

Events include alumni exhibitions and talks in São Paulo, Oslo and Berlin. In New York, alumni will relive their student days as they take part in a traditional pub quiz and in Zurich alumni are meeting up at Cabaret Voltaire, the home of Dadaism.

This May, Around the World in 7 Days will be running in:

Athens Berlin Chicago
Cologne Denver Dublin
Frankfurt New York Oslo
Rome São Paulo Singapore
Tokyo Zurich

Wherever you are during the week of 25 May, toast with fellow Goldsmiths alumni around the world and celebrate all things Goldsmiths!
