My drawings are not spontaneous. The sessions are carefully planned; the materials, the light, the temperature are considered ahead.
My drawings are the result of an exciting temporal event. The final result holds unplanned lines, unpredictable rhythms and lively forms; feelings, ideas and memories are present while I make them, but my drawings are not an attempt to replicate any of these. Instead, the single continuous and loose line I draw becomes something new, enigmatic and present.
My drawings are not a record of anything, they are not a work in progress either.
