Wing Hei Cheryl Hui, a computational artist and musician dedicated to bridging the gap between music, art, and technology. With a strong foundation in percussion, Hui has embarked on a journey that transcends traditional musical boundaries, constantly exploring the creative possibilities that emerge from the convergence of these disciplines. My compositions have reached global audiences through broadcasts in Germany and premieres at prestigious venues such as the Thailand Cultural Centre, pushing the artistic envelope and seeking to inspire audiences worldwide. As a stage designer for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hui has explored innovative approaches to create immersive and captivating performances, merging visuals and sound to heighten the audience’s sensory experience. Currently collaborating with Politecnico di Milano, Hui is working on an interactive visualisation system for live concerts, delving deeper into the fusion of music, art, and technology to create transformative experiences. Through Hui’s interdisciplinary practice, she bridges the gap between music, art, and technology by harnessing computational tools, algorithms, and digital systems. Her repertoire includes immersive multimedia compositions, interactive installations, and collaborative performances, inviting active participation and exploring the captivating intersection of sound, visuals, and interactivity.
