Could distraction become a method for producing artistic inspiration? How to visualize ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) symptoms using computational art techniques? Distracted Printer is inspired by the artist’s personal experience of living with ADHD. A thermal printer is programmed to simulate random malfunctions, resembling an ADHD brain. It continuously prints daily routine images, but generates uncontrollable glitches, visualizing the lack of organization and the chaotic daily experiences of individuals with ADHD.
Wei Lee is a Taiwanese graphic designer based in London. Driven by curiosity, through observation, research and multidisciplinary practices such as creative coding and music composition, he aims to create unique concepts and visual aesthetics.
