Professor Gloria Agyemang
Professor Gloria Agyemang BSc, MBA, PhD is Head of School of Management at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Her research interests include performance management; NGO accountability, management control and funding in public sector organisations; the management of educational institutions; race, culture and diversity; accounting and sustainability in less developed and emerging economies; accounting for migration-immigration and accounting for crime.
She is deeply interested in how accounting and accountability issues impact upon social policies and believes that by telling the stories behind the numbers we can see how those policies affect people’s lives.
As Head of School Professor Agyemang is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management, enabling the school to deliver innovation and impact in research, teaching and learning, and student experience.
She leads a senior team to develop a strategic vision and plan for the school. She says that her role enables her to make a contribution to the education of students and also helps with the development of academic talent.
