Come Dine in Blue – Collaborative Art Project

We are pleased to annouce that Goldsmiths Confucius Institute recently collaborated with local New Cross art gallery, hARTslane, on their participatory art project that brought together more than 100 Lewisham residents with a migrant background to produce a Blue-and-White dining room exhibit that retold the stories of cultural identity of local Lewisham residents.

As part of the project, staff members of the Confucius Institute created unique items of blue-and-white pottery that encapsulated their own understanding of blue-and-white porcelain and how it linked to their cultural identity as migrant residents of the borough.
