2020 GFF Edition — Disconnection Noise

Synopsis

An experimental short film by Elle Barker, ‘Disconnection Noise’ is a meditation on the role the internet plays in DIY music culture. Assembled from a lo-fi cassette recorded interviews and out-of-focus abstract visuals, the film explores the alienation and sense of obligation felt by many musicians during the social media age.
