My appearance is a part of a universal language. It speaks before I do. Which leaves me wondering, what defines my identity? Is it my skin complexion, my heritage, my culture, my gender, my class or the society around me? Can I define my own identity or does it have to be based upon my visual appearance? Or is it all these factors intertwined with one another that forms my identity? Therefore I dictate part but my other half is dictated outside of my controll.
