Murder of the Dancefloor

Murder of the Dancefloor is a documentary exploring what clubs and the music industry has done to keep their passion alive in the pandemic.

Murder of the Dancefloor is a documentary exploring what clubs and the music industry has done to keep their passion alive in the pandemic. Instead of a defeatist approach towards the pandemic, Murder of the Dancefloor takes a glimpse into how the five participants, from varied music backgrounds, have found ways to keep music and love of music going. The documentary speaks to the iconic London nightclub FOLD about livestreams and how they’re changing their club nights post-pandemic. Good Measure Studios about cutting edge technology used for interactive performances. Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy about the importance of club culture and Netil Radio about the importance of dancing and socialising through music. Murder of the Dancefloor looks towards the silver lining of the pandemic and how a love for music, clubbing and dancing will never die even if the dancefloor does.

Murder of the Dancefloor was directed by Molly Harley (mollyiharley@gmail.com), produced and sound designed by Andrea Åberg (abergandrea@gmail.com), cinematographed by Darcy Rafter (darcyrafter@hotmail.co.uk) and edited by Oscar O’Shea (oscaroshea98@outlook.com).
