Launched in 2019, the Exhibitions Hub is a unique resource for current students and alumni from the Department of Art at Goldsmiths. Providing guidance and advice, we support students and alumni to bring their ideas for public-facing projects to life.
Exhibitions Hub offers support to current students and alumni in the key following areas to help realise self-initiated projects outside of their programme of study:
- Curatorial support
- Locating galleries and spaces
- Funding opportunities
- Event promotion and publicity
- Equipment and tool loans
- Advice on insurance and health and safety
Alongside supporting student-initiated projects, the Exhibitions Hub also develops partnerships and curated projects with local galleries and organisations to provide opportunities for our students to build networks and connect with practitioners and audiences beyond Goldsmiths.
The key aims of the Exhibitions Hub are:
- To equip art students with the resources, skills and confidence needed to navigate the art world during their studies and beyond.
- To nurture alumni relationships, providing ongoing support and facilitating networking and learning between graduates, current students, staff and galleries.
- To reach and engage new and diverse audiences with the work of Goldsmiths students and alumni through the support of student-initiated projects and curatorial initiatives.
