Mikko Gordon – Head of the Goldsmiths Music Studios
Mikko Gordon is Grammy nominated mixing engineer and record producer and has worked with artists such as Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead), Arcade Fire, Idles, and Gaz Coombes (Supergrass).
Mikko led the design team for the Goldsmiths Music Studios and is a lecturer in music production at Goldsmiths.
Sean Woodlock – Head Engineer
Sean has been the Head Engineer since the studio opened in 2013. His main focus has always been all things analogue. One of the few Producers/Mixers left who work solely in the analogue domain, Sean provides a unique approach to Recording and Mixing.
Alongside working at the GMS, Sean is the Owner of Hackney Road Studios, a successful studio in the heart of Shoreditch that has been running since 2010.
Recent clients include: Mathew Herbert, Moin, and Cordelia Gartside.
Nicholas Powell – Engineer
Graduating from Goldsmiths College in 2011, Nick began his journey at the GMS in 2013.
Working across many disciplines in the studio (recording, mixing and mastering) Nick’s recent credits include: Arlo Parks, Richard Fearless and Yazmin Lacey.
Outside of Goldsmiths, Nick studio home is at the Unit 9 complex in Deptford, designed by the award winning producer David Okumu with whom Nick works alongside and collaborates with frequently.
Joy Stacey – Engineer
Joy is a recording and mix engineer with credits including Shygirl, Islet and Junodef. She came through the PPS Assistant Engineer programme at the GMS and trained through assisting on a number of sessions, most notably The Smile’s A Light For Attracting Attention and Arcade Fire’s grammy nominated WE.
Now as a freelance engineer with her own studio space, her passions lie in fantastic microphones, getting the best out of artists and getting creative with hybrid mix and production techniques.
