Control Room
The control room can record all 3 studios simultaneously, featuring a large-format vintage Calrec analogue mixing desk with 72 inputs. It also includes a large collection of vintage and new analogue outboard equipment (Neve, API, Urei, Teletronix etc) and supports both digital and analogue recording with a 2” 24 track Otari MTR90 Mk2 tape machine.
Studio One
Studio 1 operates as the main live recording room. Boasting 12ft high ceilings, a timber floor, and variable acoustics, this space is perfect for large and small ensembles. It includes a Yamaha C6 Grand Piano in concert piano condition, as well as a host of instruments and amplifiers.
Studio Two
Studio 2 is our state-of-the-art mixing and production room, centred on an MTA 980 console previously owned by Radiohead. The room provides a dryer, more controlled acoustic that Studio 1, featuring an upright piano known as “The Dalek” and a vintage Rhodes Piano that used to belong to the BBC Big Band at Maida Vale.
Studio 3
Studio 3 is a self-contained production and rehearsal room. It features a Midas Vienna analogue desk and a Fostex 16 track tape machine, as well as full-back line, an upright piano, Roland Juno 106 and Dave Smith Prophet 08 synthesiser.
