Baiba’s Inspire Lewisham Experience
Baiba was able to take part in a paid placement through Inspire Lewisham programme, also benefiting entrepreneurship employability workshops. Baiba found substantial value in the workshops, praising the knowledge and enthusiasm of the instructors. Additionally, the prospect of enrolling in online short courses at Goldsmiths University (GS) resonated with her. She expressed gratitude for the support extended by Inspire Lewisham team.
Baiba underscored the efficacy of the workshops, highlighting the excitement and encouragement derived from connecting with fellow participants facing similar circumstances. Recognising the programme’s potential, she offered constructive feedback, suggesting a potentially more selective process for identifying potential employers/companies for placement opportunities. Baiba brought to light her own perspective, noting that as someone not new to the workforce or the beginning of her career, she sought an employer for a long-term commitment. Demonstrating her dedication to the programme, Baiba engaged early on, participating in numerous workshops, completing a Goldsmiths course, and fulfilling her placement commitment.
